Flavoured Vodka
Submitted by Dipso DomIngredients
1 x litre bottle of vodka
4 x 500ml water bottles (empty)
1 x packet of old-style cherry tunes (NOT the new ones available now)
1 x packet Trebor Extra Strong Mints
1 x standard bar Galaxy milk chocolate
1 x small bag of pear drops
1 x tea towel (clean)
1 x sharp knife (clean)
1 x hammer
Method
pour the vodka equally between the empty bottles. Wrap the tunes in the tea towel and smash them to bits then pour them into one of the bottles of vodka. Once you've got all the tunes out of the towel, repeat this process with the mints & pear drops. With the chocolate, use the knife NOT the hammer. Seal the bottles and allow the ingredients to dissolve. Placing them somewhere warm will help. It should take no more than a day.
Effects
Four flavoured vodkas to do shots of at a party. Wahey!
There are of course many other things you can put in vodka to make tasty-treats, but I believe the above four are the nicest Ruth & I have managed.
NB
If you get a frothy scum developing on top of your vodka, don't worry, you've probably just used something with a high gelatine content. It may well dissolve after a couple of months/years, but you're probably best off straining it out if you don't want to wait that long for a drink.
