A Geographical View

Separating Wales from Liverpool
LOCATION

Wallasey is situated atop the Wirral peninsular (right) which is an area of 60.35 square miles on the north west coast of England, bounded by the Cheshire Plain, the Dee Estuary, the River Mersey and the Irish Sea.

Wirral's geographical duty is to separate Wales from Liverpool.

The Wirral will be known to most people as it is situated on the other side of the River Mersey to Liverpool, so it was technically sung about in "Ferry Cross The Mersey".
