St. Alban's Players
On April 4th 1973, the vicar of St Alban's church called a meeting of church members who may be interested in forming a drama group. The meeting caused great enthusiasm. A group was formed with two main aims:1. Produce well-written, good quality plays for the Parish to enjoy, and
2. To donate money from their productions to a local or national charity.
And so was formed St Alban's Players whose annual pantomime at the local Floral Pavillion theatre raises lots of money for charity and regularly takes more money than the annual professional production.
