Slapping

Slap
When a member posts something in the wrong section, posts something indecipherable due to spelling or grammatical negligence, posts something downright stupid, or otherwise behaves in a manner unbecoming of an intelligent and irreverent Society, they are likely to find that they will become the recipient of a virtual "slap".

In much the same way as you would discipline a child, pet, or wife, the occasional clip round the ear is frequently necessary to maintain order in all walks of life, and the Dipsomania Society is, unfortunately, no exception.

When a slap is administered, a reason will be given. Your profile will list how many times you have been slapped, and you are likely to find that you will appear on the Slap League.

Slaps, unlike ASBOs, are not badges of honour to be worn with pride. They are symbolic of your inability to use the site correctly, and possibly indicative that you are a bit of a tit.

If you find that one of your posts has been slapped, then please step back and take a moment to think about what you've done.
