Barronova's Drinking Game
In order to play, simply arrange the players around a central table in which a deck of cards is placed face down. The players take turns taking the top card and acting in accordance with the instructions associated with the card. For the sake of health & safety it would be advisable for players to drink pints of beer/cider for the duration of the game.- 2 - Drinking Card. Pass this card to another player who must then drink 2 fingers of their drink
- 3 - Drinking Card. Pass this card to another player who must then drink 3 fingers of their drink
- 4 - Drinking Card. Pass this card to another player who must then drink 4 fingers of their drink
- 5 - Drinking Card. Pass this card to another player who must then drink 5 fingers of their drink
- 6 - Toilet card. You may not go to the toilet during play without being in possession of the toilet card. Each toilet card may be played only once.
- 7 - Nose card. The person drawing this card must place a finger on their nose. Once other players notice this behaviour they must copy it. The last person to catch onto this must drink two fingers of their drink.
- 8 - Thumb card. As with the nose card, but the player must place their thumb on the central table.
- 9 - Topic card. The person drawing this card must choose a topic and then state an example (eg "the topic is birds - pidgeon"). Beginning at the player's left the other players must add their own example to the topic. The first person to fail to add an example must drink two fingers of their drink. Should everybody add an example then the topic was too easy and the person who drew the card must drink two fingers of their own drink.
- 10 - Mirror Card. The next time the person drawing this card is passed a Drinking Card they may play their Mirror Card so the person passing the Drinking Card must drink their own drink.
- Jack - Question Card. The person drawing this card must ask a yes/no question of the group. Anybody answering "no" must drink two fingers of their drink. If nobody answers "no" then the person drawing the card must drink two fingers of their own drink.
- Queen – Drink to the Queen. Every player toasts "The Queen" and drinks two fingers of their drink.
- King – King of Comedy. The person drawing this card must tell a joke to the group. Anybody who laughs must drink two fingers of their drink. If nobody laughs then the person drawing the card must drink two fingers of their own drink.
- Ace – The person who draws the 4th Ace must down their drink.
- Joker – The Joker. Whoever draws this card must perform a dare. Beginning at the player's left the other players must offer a dare. The person who drew the card may then choose the dare they wish to perform.
