Deed to Power of Attorney
So you don't like the idea of being responsible for your own life any more?It sounds like it's time for you to give the Dipsomania Society the "Power of Attorney". Here is a definition of "attorney", taken from the Oxford Paperback Dictionary (Fourth Edition, 2000) just to make sure we are all talking about the same thing:- "1: A person who is appointed to act on behalf of another in business or legal matters".
The basic idea is that if you sign our form (and it is properly witnessed) then we of the Dipsomania Society will be able to do such things as sell your house (for example).
It is all above board, but we must insist that once you have decided to sign your life over to us, you present the form to a local solicitor and have them explain the legal ramifications to you before you sign it in their presence. They must then sign the form before you return it to us, whereupon we shall keep it safe until such time as we decide to do something with it.
We look forward to conducting your life...
